Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy
This online course is based on current data from Canadian and international literature. The aim of this program is to provide increased knowledge and skills for practitioners who provide care to patients who are transgender/non-binary/gender diverse. Cultural competency has been shown to improve health care for gender diverse individuals. In this second module, we will be exploring: Medications used in GAHT, timeline for changes relating to masculinizing and feminizing gender affirming medical therapy, the risks of GAHT and the relating gynecologic issues.
This event is an Accredited Self-Assessment Program (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. You may claim a maximum of 1.0 hour for this course.
