A Safer Approach to Induction of Labour

The 2023 SOGC guidelines provide current evidence-based recommendations for cervical ripening and induction of labour (IOL). This online course is based on the SOGC guidelines, and will provide information to birth attendants and pregnant individuals on optimal perinatal care, and will explore some clinical scenarios demonstrating choices about inducing labour and avoiding unnecessary obstetrical intervention.  Learning Objectives:  Define circumstances in which induction of labour (IOL) is recommended Describe current techniques for cervical ripening Apply current SOGC recommendations for inducing labour

This activity is an Accredited Self-Assessment Program (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada.  You may claim a maximum of 3.0 hours for this course (credits are automatically calculated).
