Endometriosis: Impact and Diagnosis

Our understanding of endometriosis has evolved substantially over the last decade. The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) has developed an evidence-based guideline to support practitioners in: Diagnosis and Impact of Endometriosis (Part 1), Managing endometriosis (Part 2). In this online course, we review some of the key aspects of Part 1 of the new guidance and explore clinical scenarios for its application. Part 1 of the guideline reviews the full range of diagnostic approaches to endometriosis; however, the choice of method or combinations of methods will require a case-by case analysis with consideration of each patient’s own risk factors and desired outcomes.
