Endometriosis: Impact and Diagnosis

Our understanding of endometriosis has evolved substantially over the last decade. The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) has developed an evidence-based guideline to support practitioners in: Diagnosis and Impact of Endometriosis (Part 1), Managing endometriosis (Part 2). In this online course, we review some of the key aspects of Part 1 of the new guidance and explore clinical scenarios for its application. Part 1 of the guideline reviews the full range of diagnostic approaches to endometriosis; however, the choice of method or combinations of methods will require a case-by case analysis with consideration of each patient’s own risk factors and desired outcomes.

This event is an Accredited Self-Assessment Program (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada.
