	Biography Sharon is a Mi’kmaq from the First Nation community of Membertou located in beautiful Nova Scotia. Sharon is currently Health Administrator of the Eskasoni Community Health Centre, located about 40 minutes from her home community. Sharon is currently the administrator for all community health programs from Homecare & chronic disease prevention & management, Maternal child health, public health, Early Intervention & Head start and Mental Health services as well as Primary Care & Physician services for a community of 4500 people. Today, Sharon is instrumental in the coordination and development of a collaborative network the Tuikn Partnership amongst all 13 Mi’kmaq communities and the establishment of relationships and negotiations between local District Health Authorities around health services for their Mi’kmaq communities. In the past, Sharon had completed a term as the Mi’kmaq Co-Chair of the Mi’kmaq-Nova Scotia-Federal Tripartite Forum Health Committee ; Sharon continues to participate in many local, provincial and national committees’ on First Nation’s Health.
