Dr. Alaina Garbens, MD, PhD, FRCSC

 

Biography

Dr. Alaina Garbens is a urologist at Mackenzie Health and Part-Time Faculty at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). She earned her medical degree, completed her urology residency, and obtained a PhD in surgical education at the University of Toronto. She later completed a two-year fellowship in minimally invasive robotic surgery and complex stone surgery at UT Southwestern. Her evidence-based practice focuses on minimally invasive urology, including endourology, BPH therapies, female urology, and prostate and bladder conditions. She founded Maple Urology and is a Founding Member of the North Toronto Prostate Center, specializing in focal prostate cancer therapy. Dr. Garbens also founded Élevé to deliver truly comprehensive care, integrating regenerative therapies into a multidisciplinary model to proactively restore patient function and confidence. Committed to lifelong learning, she continuously expands her expertise through advanced training and research.
