Dr. Sarah elizabeth Ferguson, MD

Biography
Dr. Ferguson is a Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto and a member of the Division of Surgical Oncology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. She is Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto and the Head of Research for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sinai Health Systems/University Health Network/Women’s College Hospital. She has developed the first specialized oncofertility program to treat women with atypical hyperplasia and endometrial cancer in North America. She has over 150 peer-reviewed articles and has presented her work internationally. Her research has focused on practice changing surgical trials in cervical and endometrial cancer focusing on superior oncologic outcomes while improving quality of life. Her research includes sentinel lymph node surgical trials, molecular characterization of endometrial cancer and personalized medicine, Lynch syndrome and fertility preservation for women with endometrial and cervical cancers.
