Mx. Benny Michaud

Biography

Benny Michaud (she/he/they), is a Michif tastawiiyinew (Metis Two-Spirit person), sundancer, and citizen of the Manitoba Metis Federation. Benny has dedicated much of their life to supporting the academic, cultural, and spiritual needs of Indigenous youth and young adults. As a leader within the 2SLGBTQIA+ Metis community, they were recently the recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal awarded to Canadians who have made meaningful contributions to our communities and country. They have been living in Algonquin territory for the last two decades.
