It is my sincere pleasure to invite you to the 66th Annual Clinical Meeting of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) in beautiful Montréal, Quebec, hosted This year presents a unique opportunity for us all, as this ACM will be a conjoint meeting organized with our colleagues from the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Quebec (AOGQ). Montréal is a historic, romantic, vibrant, and exciting city, offering the warmth and diversity of a variety of cultures, boasting more than 80 ethnic communities. This city also enjoys an outstanding worldwide reputation for gourmet dining and is well renowned for its entertainment and sports attractions. We also have a fabulous evening of music and dance organized with the JUNO nominated group The Lost Fingers. The 2010 Annual Clinical Meeting will boast an exceptional education program and promises to be both innovative and informative. Over the past year, the SOGC has been working diligently to produce an outstanding conference, with a wide selection of symposia, conjoint sessions, post-graduate courses, and best-practice and sub-specialty sessions. Let us come together to share in the vast expertise of our colleagues and collaborate to enhance the skills of our health-care professionals in sexual, reproductive and women’s health. It is my privilege and joy to invite you to join us for an educationally rewarding and fun-filled Annual Clinical Meeting. Join us and come share in the “joie de vivre” and spirit of Montréal! Sincerely, Michel P. Fortier, M.D., FRSC(c) |
On behalf of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Quebec (AOGQ), thank you for considering this joint meeting for your continuing medical education plans. We encourage all of our members, and all Canadian health-care professionals in the field, to join us in learning and upgrading our skills. This is a wonderful opportunity to share our passion for improving women’s sexual and reproductive health. We strongly believe that the 66th Annual Clinical Meeting of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada offers unrivaled scientific and social programming. As health-care professionals, we have a responsibility to maintain and update our skills and knowledge — to hold ourselves to the highest possible standard. However, it’s important to acknowledge just how challenging this can be. We all know that women’s health issues and deliveries cannot wait; with busy work schedules and many personal commitments, making time for continuing medical education can be challenging. This event in Montreal is an excellent opportunity to learn as a professional while enjoying an amazing city. Montreal offers charm, excitement, unbeatable shopping and gourmet flavours. The meeting’s lifestyle-friendly programming, including excellent social events and a Children’s Camp, make this the right event for maintaining work-life balance. Sincerely, Corinne Leclercq, M.D., FRCS(c) |
