Continuing Professional Learning (CPL) |

The SOGC is committed to providing Continuing Professional Learning in accordance with the standards of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s Maintenance of Certification Program®. The following are the program objectives for all participants:
- To listen and learn in an interactive environment.
- To problem solve using case-based interactively structured sessions.
- To discuss relevant clinical updates in obstetrics and gynaecology.
- To review the latest surgical techniques and their application to clinical practice.
- To establish SOGC Clinical Practice Guidelines in their daily practice.
- To organize the application and use of computer technology in CPL initiatives.
- To discuss and network with colleagues in the areas of various sub-specialties.

An Outstanding Scientific Program

The SOGC will present International, Breakfast and Luncheon Symposia, Post-Graduate Courses, Best Practice Sessions, Sub-Specialty Meetings, International Women’s Health Symposium and two days dedicated to Research & Innovation Presentations. You will have an opportunity to hear and participate in discussions with both International and Canadian authorities on important women’s health issues. |

Research and Innovation Program |

Scientific Presentations for Obstetrics and Gynaecology will take place at the TELUS Convention Centre on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday June 29. Posters will also be viewed at the TELUS Convention Centre on these days. The author(s) will be available to answer questions and discuss their research and innovation with delegates. Awards will be distributed for Best Papers and Best Posters. The Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 28 at the TELUS Convention Centre at 16:30. |

Cannell Lecture |
|
In memory of Dr. Douglas E. Cannell and in honour of his great contribution to obstetrics and gynaecology, the Canadian Foundation for Women's Health is proud to sponsor the annual Cannell Lecture. This year the Foundation is honoured to present as speaker Dr. Dorothy Shaw, FIGO President, from the University of British Colombia. Dr. Shaw’s topic will be " Preventable tragedies in Women’s Health?"

Plaques and prizes will be awarded to: Outgoing Chairs/Co-Chairs of Committees; Regional Achievement Awards; Best Abstracts in oral and poster categories; Elective Grants; President Award; and the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health Donor Appreciation We also invite you to join us in giving thanks to our outgoing President, Dr. Guylaine Lefebvre and welcoming our newest President, Dr. Scott Farrell The installation of the new President will be followed by an Awards Reception open to all.

Preconference Course |

Course overview:
An intensive two-day course including the most recent clinical guidelines on high-risk conditions during labour and delivery. This course includes “hands-on” workshops, groups discussions and a practical exam. This Canadian course is aimed at educating specialists, family physicians, midwives and nurses. |
