SOGC Regional Achievement Award

Description

The SOGC Regional Achievement Award recognizes the excellence of members who volunteer at the local, regional or provincial levels for women's health.

Award

A plaque will be awarded to one recipient in the Central, Atlantic, Western, Ontario and Québec regions at the Annual Clinical Meeting's Awards Ceremony.

Eligibility
  • All membership categories of the SOGC;
  • Made significant achievements and contributions to the advancement of women's health in their community or province through education, practice or community involvement;
  • Active member of the community;
  • Contributes to the advancement of women's health issues in OB/GYN, advocates for health promotion and treatment according to the mission and values of the SOGC.
Communication Plan

The award recipients will be acknowledged through a press release and published in the SOGC News. Particular care will be to highlight this award in regional newspapers in the province of the Award Recipient.

Advantages of the Award Recipient

The Award Recipients will receive free-registration to the Annual Clinical Meeting where they are recognized. He or she will receive $500 to help offset the expenses associated with the acceptance of this award.

Application deadline

Each Regional Committee may submit one nomination by February 15 of each year.

Nomination and selection

Recipients are selected by their respective Regional Committees and approved at the March Executive and Council meetings.
