Recognition of Service Awards

Description

Recognition of Service Awards are granted to individuals who contribute their time and expertise to SOGC committees, including Council. This award highlights the importance of volunteer member involvement in the overall success of the SOGC.

Award

Non-monetary awards are granted to recipients.

Eligibility

• SOGC member in good standing;
• The individual is active in one or more of the categories listed below.

Categories

• Council
  A plaque will be granted annually to outgoing Council members during the June Council Dinner and recipients will be acknowledged at the Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM) Awards Ceremony.
• Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs
  Committee Chairs or Co-Chairs receive a plaque during the ACM's Awards Ceremony.
• Committee Members
  Outgoing committee members receive a certificate of acknowledgment and recognition of their service on SOGC committees.
• Outgoing SOGC President
  A plaque is presented to the outgoing President at the June Council Dinner. The President's Pin and a crystal gavel will then be awarded at the ACM's Awards Ceremony.

Nomination and selection

Members are automatically recognized for their service by the SOGC according to their committee involvement.
