Honorary Member Award

Description

Award of merit to an individual whose outstanding achievements reflect the aims and objectives of the SOGC.

Award

A plaque is granted at the June Council Dinner. Honorary members are exempted from membership fees and are entitled to all privileges and benefits of an SOGC member.

Eligibility

Made significant contributions to women's health nationally and/or internationally;
Supports the aims and objectives of the SOGC as well as its projects and programs;
Not a current member of the SOGC.

Communication Plan

The recipient of this award shall submit a one page biography, an electronic picture. The Award recipient will be recognized by way of a press release and through the SOGC News.

Benefits to the Award Recipient

The Award Recipient will receive complimentary registration to the Annual Clinical Meeting where he or she receives the Award.

Application deadline

The SOGC Executive and Council members may submit nominations by February 15 of each year.

Nomination and selection

Honorary members are nominated by the SOGC Executive and Council and approved at their annual March meetings.
