About SOGC

A Career in OB/GYN

By definition, the obstetrician-gynecologist is a women's health and reproductive health specialist. This specialist has all the medical, surgical and obstetric knowledge and skills needed to prevent, diagnose and treat a whole gamut of conditions affecting women's reproductive system and gynecological health. On top of providing care and clinical training using both normal and complex obstetric-gynecology cases, this specialist can greatly contribute to the research field.
