We accept member applications year round. Your membership will be valid from the month your application is accepted to the same month a year later. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please contact us at [email protected].  

OB-GYN Member:

  • licensed to practice as a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology in Canada
  • licensed to practice in obstetrics and gynaecology in their respective country
  • undergoing education in obstetrics and gynaecology as a Resident or Fellow
a) licensed to practice as specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology;
b) undergoing education in obstetrics and gynaecology as a resident or fellow.

AFFILIATE Member:

  • licensed to practice medicine (other than in obstetrics and gynaecology) in Canada
  • licensed as a Registered Midwife in Canada
  • licensed as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in Canada
  • engaged in medical research or health care policy in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology or reproductive health in Canada
  • undergoing education in medicine (other than in obstetrics and gynaecology) as a full-time Resident or Fellow in Canada
  • undergoing education in a medical, nursing or midwifery program at a recognized educational institution as a full-time Student in Canada
a) engaged in medical research, or health care policy, in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology or reproductive health;
b) licensed to practice Medicine (other than in obstetrics and gynaecology);
c) licensed as a Registered Midwife;
d) licensed as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner;
e) undergoing education in Medicine (other than in obstetrics and gynaecology) as a resident;
f) undergoing training in medical school, nursing or midwifery at a recognized educational institution.

Note: According to SOGC by-laws, membership is only available to licensed health care practitioners who remain in good standing with their college, with no suspension or practice restrictions.
