	Biography Dr. Lisa Gagnon has undergraduate and graduate science degrees in Psychology, from the Universities of Calgary and Victoria. She completed a Medical Degree and Psychiatry Residency at the University of Alberta. Dr. Gagnon moved back to her hometown of Calgary with her daughter and husband in 2006. Her practice started and continues on Unit 21 at the Foothills Medical Centre, as a general adult inpatient Psychiatrist. After having her son, she founded the Women's Mental Health Clinic, which is a service to assess and treat mental health disorders in pregnancy and postpartum. In recognition of the clinic, she won the first ever Jessica Lyons Perinatal Psychiatry Award in 2014. The clinic just celebrated its 10th anniversary and has grown to see approximately 600 women a year. Since becoming faculty at the University of Calgary, Cummins School of Medicine, Dr. Gagnon has won multiple teaching awards, including the David Stather Award in 2018. This is awarded to a single preceptor in the Cummins School of Medicine for bedside teaching. In 2015 she began the position of Quality Assurance for the Department of Psychiatry, which she continues to hold. Her most prestigious honour is from the Canadian Psychiatric Association in 2018 where she was awarded the C.A. Roberts Award for Clinical Leadership.
