Rohan D’Souza MD, PhD, FRCOG, FCPS, MBBS, MSc, DNB, DGO, DFP. Rohan is a Specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto and a Clinician-Scientist at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute. His research interests include: • Increasing the safety and success of vaginal birth following labour induction • Assessing the use of tranexamic acid for preventing postpartum haemorrhage • Improving pregnancy outcomes in women with medical disorders in pregnancy • Incorporating patient preferences into medical decision-making His recent achievements include: • CIHR Early Career Investigator Grant to address knowledge gaps for the use of tranexamic acid in obstetrics • International Lee-Lusted Award for his PhD thesis work on incorporating patient-preferences into obstetric decision-making • Elevation to the fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists UK for his contribution to women’s health.
