Speaker Profile

My name is Dr. Sarah McQuillan, from the University of Calgary. I went to Queen’s University for undergrad and then McMaster University for Medical School and Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology. I completed a fellowship in paediatric gynaecology in Melbourne, Australia and I have a special interest in medical education. I now work part-time at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and at the South Health Campus in Calgary and am the competence by design lead for the obstetrics and gynaecology program in Calgary. While I would not consider myself an expect in all aspects of medical education, I’m very knowledgeable in CBME. Thank you very much for inviting me to speak today and I look forwards to providing some insight and ideas while your programs make the transition to the new Royal College CBD curriculum for obstetrics and gynaecology staring in July 2019.
I do not have a relationship with a for-profit and/or a not-for-profit organization to disclose. I do not intend to make therapeutic recommendations for medications that have not received regulatory approval (i.e. “off-label” use of medication).
