Speaker Profile

Dr. Poliquin completed her medical training at the University of Western Ontario and, from there, moved west to complete her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Manitoba. Following residency, Dr. Poliquin pursued a fellowship in Reproductive Infectious Diseases and a MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Poliquin has worked as a specialist in reproductive infectious diseases at Winnipeg Health Sciences since 2016 and has recently become a Clinician Scientist in the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Manitoba. Her research interests focus on systems-based approaches to vaginal health and disease as well as immunizations during pregnancy. She is the Co-Chair of the Infectious Diseases Committee for the SOGC and has authored several national guidelines. She is especially proud that two amazing young boys call her “Mom” and is thrilled that they could both join her on this trip out west to ski on a real mountain for the first time. She is hoping for no broken bones and instead, that the SOGC’s West CME should become a family affair in the Poliquin household.
