Speaker Profile

Darrien is originally from a small reserve in northern BC. He went to university and medical school at the University of Alberta. He completed an OB/GYN residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax NS before doing an MIS Fellowship in Regina SK. He currently practices in Regina where he lives with his wife and 2 children. He is a Fellowship Co-Director for the MIS Fellowship Program in Regina with Dr. John Thiel. He is also the OB/GYN Residency Program Director for the Regina program at the University of Saskatchewan. He has an interest in fibroids, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and surgical simulation and is actively involved in research and teaching in these areas.
