Adapting obstetrics & gynaecology to the COVID-19 pandemic

In this "COVID-19 101" module, participants will be able to: develop a working appreciation for the virology and epidemiology related to SARS-CoV-2, including its transmission; become familiar with presentations for early recognition of the disease and an approach to initial management; explore how the physiologic changes of pregnancy influence the interpretation of laboratory findings for COVID-19 and sepsis; and review safety profile for pregnant patients of common supportive therapies for COVID-19.


This course is an Accredited Group-Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. You may claim a maximum of 1.0 hour.
