Biography
Catherine Craig, MD FRCSC, is a generalist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Halifax/ Dartmouth and is a Professor at Dalhousie University. She received her BA in Physiological Sciences at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and her medical degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Craig completed her residency training at Dalhousie University, where she has been in practice since 1994. Dr. Craig’s areas of special interest include simulation, physician wellness, and global health. Her research focuses primarily on simulation in medical education, both with undergraduate and postgraduate students, locally and in a global context. In the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Dalhousie she is Medical Director of the Obstetrics Simulation Program, Chair of the Wellness and Safety Committee, and she sits on several committees related to medical education, physician health, and global health. Dr. Craig’s philosophy is to support learners in achieving their academic and personal potential in a safe, collaborative learning environment.
