SOGC Medical Student Program 2010
Congratulations to the chosen candidates that were accepted into the Medical Student Program!
This program is designed to benefit medical students by exposing them to scientific programs, workshops and seminars that enhance their awareness and understanding of the profession of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In addition students are able to mix with OB/GYN residents. This encourages the exchange of information between the medical students who are looking for information, and the residents who enjoy sharing their experiences with students considering entering an Ob/Gyn Program.
The SOGC Medical Student Program receives medical students from all sixteen Canadian universities and is pleased to offer to the chosen medical students for this program:
- free registration to the ACM meeting
- an accommodation subsidy
- a travel subsidy based on the departure location (place of residence)
As part of the acceptance into the ACM medical student program, you will be required to meet the following mandatory requirements:
Mandatory requirements:

NOTE: The accommodation subsidy will be given to you onsite after the last session of the Medical Student Program. Reimbursement for travel subsidy will only be processed if the above mandatory requirements are met. In case where mandatory requirements are not met, SOGC reserves the right to cancel or deduct an amount from the reimbursement of travel subsidy.
Please note that your report will provide our staff with information on areas in which the students place importance and will be filed at the national office. When, and, if you apply for a residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Society will provide a letter confirming your membership with the Society and your attendance at the ACM and/or Regional CME.
Medical Students are also invited to attend the Student Mixer on Saturday, June 5th at 18:30 followed by the Resident Fun Night from 20:00 – 24:00. This is an evening of fun, entertainment, dancing, free food and beverages. Registration for this event will be complimentary for medical students.
