Beginning June 9, 2009 and ending June 8, 2010.


Following this module, participants will be able:

  1. Provide reassurance to patients that vasomotor symptoms are common, troubling, treatable symptoms associated with menopause;
  2. Present nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic options to patients suffering vasomotor symptoms;
  3.  Counsel patients and dispel myths about the benefits and risks of hormonal therapy using evidence-based medicine; and
  4. Counsel patients about the use of "natural" and herbal products.

This program meets the accreditation criteria of The College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited for up to 1.0 MAINPRO-M1 credit.This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.


This case study is free to all physicians.
